EDGARD ANTONIO PEREIRA
Professor of economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) since 1983. Edgard holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from UNICAMP and holds his Master’s and Ph.D degrees from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He was a post doctoral visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkley, USA, between 1995 and 1996. In the public sector, he was Director of the Supply and Pricing Department of the Ministry of Economics, Finance and Planning in 1990, National Economic Secretary for the Ministry of Economics, Finance and Planning between 1990 and 1991 and Campinas City Finance Secretary in 1994. He acted as consultant for the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank for industrial policy matters related to Mercosur and served as Coordinator on a variety of research matters on industry and industrial economics. Between 2006 and 2007, he was chief economist for the Industrial Development Studies Institute (IEDI). He is the author of countless articles published in specialized magazines and journals and has been a lecturer at various national and international meetings and seminars.

JOÃO PAULO GARCIA LEAL
Economist, holding a Master’s of Economics from UNICAMP. Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Federal University of São Carlos, São Paulo, between 1993 and 1997. Economist at EDAP since 1996 and partner since 2007. Served as Director of Economic Studies at the Brazilian Institute of Antitrust, Consumer Relations and International Trade (Ibrac) from 2008 to 2009. Editor of the blog: Competition Defense and Related Matters.

EMERSON FERNANDES MARÇAL
Economist, having earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the department of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (USP). He earned his Master’s of Economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He has a Ph.D in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo. He is a professor in the Master’s of Business Administration in finance at Mackenzie Presbyterian University and coordinator for the Center of Applied Macroeconomics (CEMAP) of the São Paulo School of Economics of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (EESP-FGV).

JULIANA HILAL
Juliana holds her undergraduate degree in Economics from UNICAMP. Economist at EDAP since 1997.
