Economic Regulation

With deep knowledge of economic theory and the most modern mathematic and econometric modeling techniques, EDAP conducts studies and analysis of regulatory issues in the most varied regulated sectors. EDAP‘s expertise encompasses the infrastructure, transportation, communications, energy and drug sectors.

For companies that operate in the regulated sectors, EDAP offers products that support participation of these companies in public consultations on a wide range of topics, including rates, service quality and investments, among other relevant topics.

In regards to the drug industry, EDAP provides laboratories with economic studies and analysis that can be used upon presentation of price registration requests to CMED/Anvisa (Medical Drugs Chamber/National Sanitary Surveillance Agency).

EDAP has in recent years prepared a variety of studies on land and mobile telephone system interconnection rates, subsidies for periodic review of electric energy rates, as well as pricing rules in the petroleum and fuel sectors.
